The Books and Comics (Projects I'm Doing)
These are the more serious, those more "ready to be worked on", book and comic projects. Once "Rare" is finished, I'll return to one of these to finish it off. A few are ones I enjoy doing as a break (usually the "Detective Abby" and Network series).
The Parker Series
The Parker Series is comprised of five books featuring three siblings: Owen (with Kim) Parker, Ellen (Parker) Kramer, and Jake Parker.
RARE (A Shot&Shot Book)
After US State Department Economic Liaison to China disappears, Owen & Kim Parker are contracted to locate him. His investigation uncovers a twisting conspiracy involving Russia, China, and the United States and a race to obtain a dangerous new virus.
THE BODY ELITE (A Kramer Book)
In a rural lake community in upstate New York, Sheriff Ellen Kramer never expected to uncover a trafficking ring. Her investigation, in her 1st year as elected Sheriff, will put her in the forefront of headlines and politics that could rip her quiet home community apart.
LIBERTY (A Kramer Book)
Special Agent Ellen Kramer, now with the FBI in Northern Virginia, gets assigned the case of a media executive murdered hours before the launch of a multi-billion dollar media merger. It’s an annoyance, a punishment for Kramer’s prior behavior. As the investigation proceeds, Kramer finds herself the center of attention of a madman and her investigation and life get revealed online, on air and in real time.
UNTITLED (A Jake Book)
“Once you start pulling at the weeds, you seem to notice more and more of the damn things,” Jake Parker has said on more than one occasion. Truer words haven’t been said. Network is a science fiction universe with noir sensibilities and diverse characters. The fantastic and the mundane all alive among the all-encompassing Network.
The Network is a means of communication. Of media. Of commerce. Of instant gratification and mortification. It’s as small as a molecule within a nanobyte and as large as everything that was, is and will be.
The Network has permeated all facets of life. It has opened worlds and universes to one another. It has introduced new realms and ancient mythologies to everything it has connected. And it continues to grow, to learn, to evolve, to expand.
But what if it can be controlled? What if something has found a way to exploit the Network? What if the takeover has already been days then hours and now moments away from being complete?
And what if in the final seconds the Network understands what is to come and takes action?
Network is the story of those last seconds of everything that is and those first steps into what is becoming. And the story of 15 individuals who now unknowingly command power or knowledge beyond comprehension.

“I’m retired,” Ryan Forrester said. “Out.”
Jalen Jin smiled. “No you’re not, my friend.” His eyes twinkled.
“Why not?”
Jalen laughed, sincere and deep. “You are still alive! People such as ourselves, we are not allowed to retire, Ryan.” Jalen laughed again.
“Not allowed, you say?”
“No. We die on the job. Retired? You remain a funny man, Ryan. I do enjoy our meetings.” Jalen took a sip from his coffee cup.
Ryan smiled, less sincere from Jalen’s, more pensive. “I guess I have just been very fortunate.”
The two men sat facing one another. Around them people milled about and placed orders and waited for their latte and dolce and red eyes at the pick up station. Several minutes passed.
“Although I almost do believe you may have retired, and found about the only place on Earth they will not find you.”
Ryan shrugged. “Yeah?”
Relocated and living in northeast Ohio, Ryan Forrester wanted only a peaceful life on a farm he bought with his pension. But 35 years is a long time for working in the intelligence arena...and there is unfinished business from some of his former associates.
